Exciting News!
There’s a financial literacy graduation requirement for the Class of 2024.

This requirement goes beyond receiving a diploma, it’s an opportunity for graduates to start their next chapter with a mindset of financial empowerment. While some districts have something in place, many have struggled to find a single solution to comprehensively meet this need. KFEC Money Academy can help!

Kentucky has a FREE Financial Education Platform available for High Schools!

Introducing the Kentucky Financial Empowerment Commission’s (KFEC) Money Academy!

Diversified learning methods.

It’s not just courses. It’s also articles, videos, infographics, tools, calculators, assessments, and more. We have something that pairs with each small detail of every standard! There are thousands of pieces within three broad categories: Managing Money, Paying for School, and Finding a Career. It even translates into Spanish!

Options that fit your teaching style.

The program lays out three approaches to connect schools with material that fully aligns with each detail of the KY Financial Literacy Standards for grades 9-12:

  • The Four-Phase Approach – moves from simpler to more complex content.

  • The Standards Approach – moves standard-by-standard with varying levels of complexity in each.

  • The Complimentary Materials Approach – teachers hand-pick what they want students to do.

Empowerment beyond the classroom.

The program isn’t tied to an individual classroom or teacher, so students have 24/7 access to incredible financial empowerment that goes far beyond just meeting the standards. They can search for scholarships, jobs, and any money topic they’d like to explore, both now and in the future — even for the rest of their lives!
